When it came time to decide what our logo should be back in 2010, we decided we wanted something that would break the mold - just as our cotton bow ties did. In an industry flooded with cartoon critter logos, we opted to dig a little deeper and choose something that tells a story.

Why the Boll Weevil?
The boll weevil is a beetle that migrated into the United States from Mexico in the late 19th century and infested all U.S. cotton-growing areas by the 1920s, devastating the industry and the people working in the American south.
Today, with the boll weevil infestation being all but eradicated, cotton production is having a resurgence in the U.S.A. High Cotton is dedicated to the Southern textile revival. The boll weevil is a symbol of the resiliency of the South and a reminder of High Cotton’s mission.
